Tom Court – A Year In Motion
from Tom Court
Wow, what a year it has been! As I sit here in the UK editing these highlight clips it almost seems like a dream, remembering all of the great times, good people and epic projects that have composed my year. Starting in Cape Town and continuing to Galicia, Fuerteventura, Cape Hatteras, Hood River, San Francisco, Germany, Ireland, UK and all the other places in Between.
Kiteboarding is one of the most versatile and free sports out there, allowing such creativity and providing the freedom to travel and explore a huge variety on locations. In 2015 I will be editing some ‘Freeride Project’ episodes as I travel, showing what I get up to, the projects that I have on the go and the people that I meet. Sessions with the UKcrew and my team mates and all the fun in-between. Working towards another movie release at the end of the year.

To me kiteboarding is more than just a sport, it is a way of living.
Join me in this trip to experiment the way I see it, where feelings & emotions play the main role.

Perseverance – Liloo Gringa – Kiteboarding
from LILOO GRINGA
The aim of this video is not to make a kitesurf demonstration. It’s about sending a message, to everyone no matter the sport or the job you do in life.
I won’t tell you the story of my life, that’s not the idea, but I would like to share with you a little piece of me:
Overall, I’m not someone who has many innate skills. I always have to work hard to accomplish something, in every area, but especially in kitesurfing.
This lack of skills turned out to be a strength because it forces me to work harder, be more disciplined and never give up no matter what.
My dad always taught me that “when there is a will there is a way” even if we are not very good at something.
When I started kiteboarding, I’d have never thought I could get where I am today. I remember that my mom, even if she is not my number 1 supporter, she thought that I’d never be able to get up on the board (lol). Despite that, I never stopped fighting and I never will.
Faith, determination and hard work are stronger than anything.
Kiteboarding has been there for me, most of my life. All the punches, the crashes, the tears thrown into the sea and the sacrifices are definitely worth it.
Never let anyone tell you what you can or cannot do, nor who you should or shouldn’t be.
Live your dreams, it doesn’t matter what others think of you, because nobody knows the struggle you had to go through to get where you are.
Fight for what you love, and never give up even if life puts obstacles in front of you, just find the strength to go around them or jump them through!
After so long without a video it is finally time to show you some of the fun I had in Brazil this year. Initially intended as something we would shoot in a day, we managed to squeeze in some time in-between running Kite Camp Pro training so get some riding in Parajuru and Cumbuco. ‘When […]
While Mr Claus is busy delivering presents to all the kids of the world, Santa Whiteley enjoys a festive freestyle session by herself. Maintaining a loose attitude is essential to keeping kitesurfing more as a hobby than a job. Enjoy Christmas and time off work, keep it fun, always. 🙂
