Sony RX10 II Black and White Skateboarding
from Kristoffer Davidsson
Went to Highvalley Skateworld with Simon Ax yesterday to film some more with my Sony RX10 II. Filmed in both 1080p 100fps and HFR 250fps. Started at 1250 ISO and went as high as 6400 at some of these shots, just to keep the shutter right when the light faded away. Edited and graded in Premiere CC2015, Lumetri Looks and I’ve added som Gorilla Grain in post too.
Skateboarding film-maker and photographer, Fred Mortagne, alias French Fred, set out to capture this urban sport with the new Leica SL. Shooting on location at the industrial canals and concrete bed of the Los Angeles River he staged the Element skateboard team with Nick Garcia, Nassim Guammaz, Alex Lawton, Dominick Walkera and Brandon Westgate.
from Cuba Skate
One of Cuba’s most creative skaters and surfers, Yojani Pérez Rivera reflects on how he and his amigos are #livingoffthewall to make the most of the little they have. Mamerto, as he’s known around the island, is among the most active local skaters advancing Cuba Skate’s mission.
Cuba Skate, an NGO created by American skater Miles Jackson, is in the process of creating a documentary feature following the lives of Mamerto and his scrappy crew, 23yG, to rally the international skate community around its goals:
1. provide much needed skate materials to the Cuban youth
2. renovate the only, dilapidated skatepark in Havana
3. establish the first skate shop in Cuba and foster a bilateral educational exchange between Cuban and American skaters
Keep On Pushin’
Keep on Pushin’ represents what skateboarding means to me, it is my way of thanking skateboarding for all that it has given me.
Keep On Pushin’ is part of REDirect, a celebration of skateboard filmmaking between red.com and theberrics.com. Showcasing twelve of the most renowned skateboarding filmmakers in the world, each filmmaker had 2 months to shoot and edit a short film about skateboarding. The contestants were kitted with all components needed to shoot on RED.
Thank you Berrics and RED for the opportunity to be a part of such an amazing project.
La Réunion Part Two: Le Volcan
from Caliber Truck Co.
On La Réunion everything is rooted in the volcano; every road, every town, every microclimate is a product of it’s terrain. In Part Two the boys meet with the locals – and with their help – indulge in the islands volcanic landscape. Liam and James experienced the full spectrum of what the island has to offer. Sketchy driving, martian landscapes, and strong local ties – Part Two has it all!

Highlight Reel: General Pants BOWL-A-RAMA Bondi 2016
General Pants BOWL-A-RAMA Bondi 2016 is a wrap, and it will surely go down as one of the best contests in recent memory. Heavy rain threatened to derail the second day of competition, but the skate gods stepped in to deliver unlikely blue skies and a full schedule of shredding from the world’s best bowl skateboarders — capping off an epic two days of non-stop action and jaw-dropping tricks.
