¨ We are all products of our environment. In Finland it means that snowboarding in the mountains is almost as rare as catching waves in baltic sea. Not too many people do it. When I was growing up all I wanted to do was to learn new tricks but when I began to ride backcountry, I needed to start think differently about my snowboarding. Suddenly it was not only about take off, airtime & landing. Riding in the mountains opened my eyes to what having flow in your riding really means. You can challenge yourself in so many ways while riding steeps mixed with airtime. But what really makes natural terrain riding the best is the fact that you have to live in the moment & be aware of everything that surrounds you.¨ -Antti

BYNDXMDLS S4 / CHAPTER ONE / LAAX & JAPAN

On the first episode of the new BYNDxMDLS season we see Tor and Kevin arrive in Laax, Switzerland where they’ve decided to spend most of the season. At first, conditions weren’t looking that great with almost no snow in the Alps. Yet still, the Laax park crew were able to keep the park on point so that the boys could start of the season with some knuckle surfing together with old time friend Ulrik Badertscher and Sebbe De Buck.
After a few sunny days of park shredding the boys head over to Japan along with their swiss homies Max Buri and David Djite in search for some deep snow.
With some guidance from local shredder Yusaku Horii they finally found what they were looking for, on the volcano ridges of Asahi-dake. We have spiced it up this year with the new filmer/editor Markus and beyond medals suit Oscar! Enjoy
