Project Phoenix by Lukas Joas
from Lukas Joas
Project Phoenix presented by Lukas Joas – a movie about his last season
Here is my own little movie project I was working on this year. It’s been a season with many ups and downs and a year with lots of new experiences. One thing I can definitely say is, that I couldn’t have done this without the help of so many great people around me. Thanks everyone for the support and for pushing me instantly to work so hard on myself as a skier.
Let The Bird Fly
from Snowboarder Magazine
No snow in the Pacific Northwest leads to existential crises for riders Matt Edgers, Blair Habenicht, Temple Cummins and friends. Japow, Japanic – these last holdouts of the great 2015 powder migration finally gave up hope for home and flocked to Japan, one of the only places holding enough snow to dig deep into the recesses of the mind.
Let The Bird Fly. A motto embodied by a transient spirit, whose sideways sliding migrations, often rolled into motion on an empty gas tank in a limping VW van, inspired this project.
We flow as one.

Waffles & Hammers 2.1 Colorado + Stubai
from Waffles and Hammers
The new season is in full effect! Our waffles went to the US of A, Colorado to compete at the Dew Tour, Breckenridge. Due to challenging conditions, it didn’t go exactly as planned but this didn’t stop them from dropping some hammers in the nearby area of Keystone.
Besides that, the conditions in Stubai were epic in early season… So we’ve got a surplus of singles, doubles and triples for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!

In March, Xavier de le Rue and Samuel Anthamatten travelled to Svalbard, a Norwegian archipelago in the Arctic Ocean, situated halfway between continental Norway and the North Pole to film the next mission, ‘Degrees North’. Second part of the movie will be filmed this winter and will see Ralph Backstrom joining the crew, to discover a new zone in Alaska.
full movie coming out fall 2015
Swatch Degrees North by The North face is a project of TimeLine Missions in co production with Red Bull Media House.
