Arbor Snowboards :: Welcome to Arbor – Bryan Iguchi
Welcome to Arbor, Bryan.
We are proud to announce a new partnership with friend and legend, Bryan Iguchi. We consider this a foundation level alliance that united past, present, and future.
Bryan Iguchi is an innovator, ambassador, artist, and leader. Through it all, he has never been afraid to walk away from the limelight and conventional thinking in order to evolve as a rider. His instinct for the arc of progression in snowboarding has made each stand-alone period in his career simply chapters in a powerful and ongoing story.
“Snowboarding has given me a deep connection to the mountains. Arbor’s tree icon is symbolic of this to me. Their roots building boards with wood grain topsheets is something I’ve always appreciated. I’ve now been riding Arbor for two months and I’m amazed by the quality and performance I’ve experienced. It’s an honor to be working with them.”
“For Arbor Snowboards, Guch brings a lifetime of experience to our product, team, and filming efforts. Working together, we now have a unique opportunity to blend that knowledge into everything we’re doing, including a range of collaborative snowboard designs to come.”
-Matt Patti, Arbor Snowboards Brand Manager

Baldface Lodge, nestled in interior British Columbia, is renowned for harboring some of the worlds finest powder. Except in December 2014, when the DPS crew arrived to make a short ski flick. At that point, things weren’t quite so lovely. Fighting against record low-tide early season conditions under gray and grim skies, their best option was to take to the air– building jumps, getting upside down, and making lemonade outta lemons. But finally, for one incredible day, the clouds dropped into the valleys, creating a stunning inversion, and at last offering access to a few sunny bigger lines. Proving that even the toughest trip can sometimes turn right side up.

Norway is to pro snowboarders what Japan is to sushi, and Scotland is to whisky: sure, other countries produce them, but not in the same quantity or quality. Which is a mixed blessing if you’re a snowboarder. The level is so high, that on one hand it pushes you to be the best rider you can be. But, on the other, it’s insanely hard to get noticed – some of the best snowboarders in the world are unknown, unsponsored Norwegians.
The Last Days
from S. Witts // Situation Pictures
Through a skiers season, the best days, is almost always the last days. -The days you look back on, when all you want is getting back on the mountain. The days that sets your mark for the next season.
So here we are, looking back at the days to come.
Storm Cycles: Railroaded with Amtrak // Part Three: Inside the Storm
from TJ DAVID [Ski] [Film] [Photo]
“One restful night on the train has brought us within reach of the storm. And where the tracks end, the road and our journey to Stevens Pass begins. Six skiers in a mini van, headed into the eye of the storm. What started as a light valley rainfall has strengthened as we’ve climbed from Leavenworth into the Cascades. We’ve long since been separated from the comfort of our train cars. And nothing but whiteout lies ahead.”
