KORUA Shapes – YEARNING FOR TURNING Vol. 2 – Carving Europe
from KORUA Shapes
Here it is! Volume 2 of our series YEARNING FOR TURNING. With “Carving Europe” we wanted to portrait a style of riding that is very familiar to most of us. Having a blast with friends, riding the local resort and making the best of it. We went on three short trips with our campers, also known as car danchis, to try and capture the magic moments on and off the slope.
Featuring: Nicholas Wolken, Stephan Maurer, Thomas Stöckli, Cyril Müller, Gabriele Torriani and Mattia Fogliani
Filming & Editing: Stephan Maurer
To be able to snowboard in the mountains you have to study, not just ride. Understanding how wind effects, how light changes, what do the alters of temperature make are keys for good line riding. To surround yourself with people who share the passion for snow knowledge is a great way to move forward in […]

¨Snowboarding in the trees is the best type of snowboarding I know! There is something magical when you are riding in this very stunted scenery. It sometimes feels like I need to achieve this feeling of getting lost to actually realise that in the nature Im purely driven by completely focused motivation¨ Approach & Attack […]

We are pleased to bring you episode 2 of ‘Why I love Mt. Bachelor’ featuring local inspiration from Gerry and Alex Lopez. Feel free to share with those you would love sharing time with on the mountain.

Why do we go to the mountains? There are reasons that reach beyond the climb, past the descent, and are far more important than the summit. Regardless of the grade, the elevation, or the name of any peak, we go to the mountains seeking a feeling; and no matter where or who we are, the […]
