Pow, skiing, smiles, hair whips and dreams coming true… pretty much sums up the winter of 2015 for me. Some of my favorite moments from Japan, Utah and Alaska last season.

Red Bull – Three Summits 2014
In 2014 22-year-old Georgian freeskier Iva Tsiklauri completed an incredible freeriding expedition to three peaks of Caucasus mountains – Aragats (4091 m.) in Armenia, Bazarduzu (4466 m.) in Azerbaijan and Shkhara (5200 m.) in Georgia.
Few men can flip calves and ride horses as gracefully as they can flip tricks and ride mountains. Growing up on a cattle ranch in 10 Sleep, Wyoming, Mark Carter learned true grit from a young age and it shines through in his own personal brand of snowboarding. From big, sketchy lines to massive cheese wedges, Carter approaches the backcountry with an irreplaceable devil-may-care attitude that sets him apart from the herd.
The 2014-15 season was kind to Carter’s winter home base of Jackson Hole, Wyoming allowing him to film the following full part almost entirely in his own backyard of the Teton Mountains. Carter is one hell of a snowboarder and we couldn’t be more stoked to welcome him to the Arbor Snowboards Pro Team.

Baldface Lodge, nestled in interior British Columbia, is renowned for harboring some of the worlds finest powder. Except in December 2014, when the DPS crew arrived to make a short ski flick. At that point, things weren’t quite so lovely. Fighting against record low-tide early season conditions under gray and grim skies, their best option was to take to the air– building jumps, getting upside down, and making lemonade outta lemons. But finally, for one incredible day, the clouds dropped into the valleys, creating a stunning inversion, and at last offering access to a few sunny bigger lines. Proving that even the toughest trip can sometimes turn right side up.

Sending in Alaska with Dane Tudor – Sony Mind’s Eye S3 E7

Alaska is the land of opportunity for the humble skier or snowboarder. Spine lines as far as the eye can see, and massive airs make almost every turn a come to god moment.
