“We need to teach the next generation”.
Fergal Smith isn’t your average surfer. Having grown up on an organic vegetable farm in Ireland, Fergal learned the importance of family, food and a healthy lifestyle from a young age. Despite travelling far and wide in search of waves, Fergal remains true to his roots and continues to live in Ireland to this day having established a community garden on his farm Moy Hill. Desillusion editor Pierre David spent 4 days with Fergal in his hometown of County Clare to gain a deeper insight into Fergal’s world and the importance of living a self sustaining and happy life.
This short film is based on the article “It’s a long way from Clare to here” published in Desillusion Magazine 48 , Tome 4 available on bit.ly/1yyNUC4

Water & Oil
A Surfing World x Quiksilver Film..
Water & Oil is a film project conceived by Quiksilver and Surfing World to document the travels of several surfers on their journey along the east coast of Australia. The trip titled “Road To The Pro” began in Torquay & finished on the gold coast some 2000 Kilometers later.
Waterborne, technical and functional performance gear. Developed to enhance the performance and appearance of an increasingly thirsty breed of explorers and adventurers, like you, who are not just looking to push the boundaries, but to blur them as well.
Whatever your ride, wherever you’re riding, keep the thirst alive.
