Trevor Gordon’s Tail Fin Trials

Trevor Gordon worked with shaper Ryan Lovelace to create four weird iterations of a finless surfboard. With nothing but curiosity and intuition guiding them, the boards were made with radical asymmetrical lines coming to a pointed tail on the toe side. The Habitat Ep 03 Jaws: Each year the scale is pushed in what is possible at many big wave spots around the world. Last year was no exception at Jaws. It wasn’t the biggest, or most consistent year but there were a few windows of perfection. With the help of a few cinematographers we were able to produce a highlight reel showcasing the waves many different faces. Sit back and enjoy as Albee Layer takes a stab at paddling waves that are best admired from afar.

In July 2015 a massive swell hit Teahupoo, Tahiti in French Polynesia. This swell created massive 30 foot waves surfed by Raimana, Matahi Drollet, Niccolo Porcella, Matehau Tetopata, Oliver Kurtz, Russell Bierke and more.
No Dreams, Just Goals – Frederico Morais
Coming from the wave rich town of Cascais, just outside Portugal’s capital of Lisbon, Frederico Morais is one of the best things to happen in european surfing. Talented, for sure, Frederico, is also totally dedicated to surfing, spending countless hours in the water. Spanish director Gustavo Imigrante, spent a few days with the prodigy, sharing his own philosophy, and how bright he sees the future.

Kai Barger spent a little more time at home this fall. In doing so he traded points on the WQS for clips in the hard drive vault. We are stoked on his efforts and put together a season’s edit. A few clips from our film Attractive Distractions interlaced into his productive start to the winter season.
