Mick Fanning | One Session
from Ryan Moss
This footage was taken somewhere in Mexico back in 2011. I will never forget watching Mick absolutely wreck havoc on this sand point break. We were with Dane, Shane, Benny B. , Bottle,Fisher, and Nutty. Dane and Mick were the clear standouts of the trip. But, it was this session that separated Mick from the rest of the crew and put him in a league of his own when it came to surfing perfect right hand point breaks. Dane walked away with the move of the trip with his crazy turn at Bamba. Mick walked away with the session of the trip hands down.
Surfing Teahupoo Tahiti Huge XXL Waves July 2015 Drone Footage
from Ashley Gasper
In July 2015 a massive swell hit Teahupoo, Tahiti in French Polynesia. This swell created massive 30 foot waves, surfing by Raimana, Matahi Drollet, Niccolo Porcella, Matehau Tetopata, Oliver Kurtz, Russell Bierke and more. This aerial video was filmed with a DJI Inspire and Phantom 3. Teahupoo is one of the most powerful and deadly waves on the planet, and breaks over a shallow reef, creating a below sea level effect. “Teahupoo” loosely translates to “place of skulls”.
Last day of the year 2015 woke up with perfect conditions in the big wave spot known as Meñakoz, with waves to share only by 4 surfers, beautiful lights and the best possible goodbye to this awesome year.

“We need to teach the next generation”.
Fergal Smith isn’t your average surfer. Having grown up on an organic vegetable farm in Ireland, Fergal learned the importance of family, food and a healthy lifestyle from a young age. Despite travelling far and wide in search of waves, Fergal remains true to his roots and continues to live in Ireland to this day having established a community garden on his farm Moy Hill. Desillusion editor Pierre David spent 4 days with Fergal in his hometown of County Clare to gain a deeper insight into Fergal’s world and the importance of living a self sustaining and happy life.

Thank You Spring
from Vincent Duvignac
Spring is definitely the best time of the year in France. Days are longer, waves are better, and if you are lucky enough (or chasing it), sand-banks are well shaped. Vincent is always looking for the best sessions in his region, and was obviously awarded with 3 really good days. The kind of days you don’t want to miss!
