King of the North…
from Roger Sharp
Pre-dawn on the north coast of Scotland in February where the air temp is -1.5C before you even consider wind chill…
Frosty wetsuits, motivation lacking and a storm brewing but a half hour window of glorious light offered itself before a front came through. Just had to swim. We only managed an hour as with the wind chill it was ridiculously cold… Totally worth it.

No Breakfast – A Surf Edit by a Snowboarder
No Breakfast – A surf edit by a snowboarder Bryan Fox. Featuring Dane Reynolds, Mikey Wright, Steph Gilmore, Koa Rothman and Michael Dunphy. Editor Bryan Fox explains: “This is a movie I made for Quiksilver. They flew me to France for the Quiksilver Pro and while I was there I asked them if I could edit a couple clips together from the week. They obliged and here it is. It’s titled “No Breakfast” because, with all due respect, the French suck at making breakfast. They are like the soup nazi in that seinfeld episode…no breakfast for you!”
Footage – Jimmy Graham.

Slow-Motion Blackmagic URSA 150FPS Footage
from Jeff Dotson
Blackmagic Design today announced a new firmware update so I downloaded it and did some tests.
All shots are hand held, I am literally pulling focus as I track the shot with a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8mm
Settings on the camera are 1920×1080, 150 FPS, 400 ISO, 90 Shutter
These shots were strictly for fun and a test, no frame blending or change in frame rates were added. Just a minor color pass. Music by M83.
